The game is played by placing tiles on the board as you try to find a path out of the caves. The goal is for each of the four characters to pick up a key and for all of them to make it to the same gate before time runs out(run out of tiles). The rule book is very light so getting a game started is pretty simple. The difficulty of the game can be modified through the number and type of monster tiles you add to the stack. As a solo player you will need to control all 4 characters, but this is simple enough as there is only a token and status card to keep track of for each one.
